Victor Mooney’s timely outreach to the NBA is far more than a simple philanthropic appeal; it is the strategic continuation of an enduring commitment to leveraging the power of sports for vital humanitarian aid. His call for teams to fill duffel bags with crucial medical supplies ensures that the spirit of global partnership continues to uplift and heal communities in need. 

This commitment is deeply rooted in personal wisdom, as both Mooney and legendary basketball humanitarian Mr. Dikembe Mutombo was independently graced by Nelson Mandela, a shared experience that underscores the powerful link between global influence and civic responsibility. 

As executive director and founder of South African Arts International, Mr. Mooney has dedicated over thirty years to building bridges. His last exhibit was called - "Floating Home". Now, as he pays tribute to the profound and lasting legacy of Mr. Mutombo, Mooney hopes to see the canvas of humanity tethered around NBA teams, transforming the visibility and resources of the athletic world into essential instruments of global healing.
